Hunting at Lake of the Woods Lodge

The Whitetail deer population in our area is excellent. The deer are plentiful and big.

Our Hunters have the use of our boats to access a variety of areas from old clear cuts to rocky ridges over looking naturals draws or dried up beaver ponds. We can direct to you to numerous locations for tree stands or excellent natural funnels.
Assistance is available to help familiarize you with the many various areas & we are available to help field dress and get your deer back to camp.
For those interested in black powder or archery we have access to a vast area that is restricted to primitive weapons only.
Hunts are limited so please call early to ensure your reservation and a chance to bag a big North Western Ontario Whitetail Trophy.

Water Fowl Hunting

Lake of the Woods is located on a migratory path for many species of water fowl. The area has hundreds of bays and coves and they are teaming with wild rice.

Species such as Blue and Green Wing Teal, Black Duck, Mallard, Bluebill, Pintail, Bufflehead Wood Duck, Ringbill & Goldeneye stop to rest on their way South.
Hunters have use of the boats and guides are available.

Grouse hunting & fishing are a great additions to a Duck Hunt at no extra charge - so bring along your fishing gear too!
